PRANA MAYA ISLAND RESORT PLACENCIA CAYE BELIZE

At MAR Wellness Group, some experiences feel especially close to our hearts, and we are absolutely delighted to welcome Tania Savolle and her yoga retreat to Prana Maya Island Resort in 2027!

We believe the most meaningful wellness experiences happen when the right people, the right setting, and a shared intention come together. Tania’s profound experience in leading international yoga retreats is now curated just for you at Belize’s only Relais & Chateaux property. Our collaborative vision is for you to step away from everyday demands and settle into the restorative rhythm of a private Caribbean island.

For those dreaming of a yoga retreat that delivers an experience beyond a beautiful place to practice, this is an invitation to join Tania in something truly special.

Why Prana Maya Island Resort Is the Yoga Retreat Destination to Put on Your 2027 Calendar

1. A Private Island That Invites You to Truly Unplug

Imagine arriving by boat to your own little corner of the Caribbean, where the soundtrack is the sea, the breeze through the palms, and the sounds of nature.

Prana Maya is a five-star boutique resort on a private island off the coast of Placencia, Belize. Unlike a large commercial resort, the experience here is intentionally intimate, personal, and peaceful.

No club music, no jet skis, no city sirens or crowded resort spaces.

Just the quiet luxury of a private beach, a beautiful pier, and the freedom to kick off your shoes and feel the sand beneath your feet.

At MAR Wellness Group, we encourage our retreat guests to turn off their devices, step away from the constant pull of technology, and embrace the rare opportunity to be fully present. With a thoughtful retreat setting, guests can reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with others.

2. Yoga, Nature and the Luxury of Being Present

There is something uniquely powerful about practicing yoga surrounded by the natural world.

The Caribbean Sea becomes your backdrop. The tropical breeze accompanies your breath. The sounds of the island gently draw you into the present moment.

Whether you are seeking a deeper connection to your practice, a meaningful pause from a demanding schedule, or simply the space to breathe and reset, this retreat offers an opportunity to move at a more intentional pace.

With Tania Savolle as the host, guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in yoga, breathwork and meditation experiences in one of Belize's most intimate luxury settings. And that experience does not end when you roll up your mat.

Beyond Tania’s teachings, guests will also partake in a traditional Belizean cacao celebration, sound healing and a tour of a local spice farm. From barefoot beach walks and nourishing meals to restorative spa experiences and peaceful moments by the water, the island and the country’s diverse culture become part of the practice.

3. Five Star Barefoot Luxury Without the Crowds

We believe wellness and luxury belong together, not as extravagance for its own sake, but as thoughtful care, beautiful surroundings, and the freedom to focus on yourself.

At Prana Maya, barefoot island living meets the personalized hospitality of a five-star boutique resort. Beautiful accommodations, Caribbean Sea views, thoughtfully prepared cuisine, and restorative experiences create an environment designed to help you slow down and feel cared for.

The culinary philosophy celebrates food as medicine, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and nourishing, thoughtfully prepared meals. The spa offers an opportunity to unwind and restore.

This is luxury without the unnecessary noise, an experience that feels personal, grounding, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

4. The Kind of Community That Makes a Retreat Unforgettable

One of the most beautiful parts of a retreat is the people you meet along the way.

At Prana Maya, the intimate island setting creates space for genuine connection to unfold naturally. Conversations linger over meals, new friendships begin after yoga or during a sunset walk.

At MAR Wellness Group, we value this sense of community just as deeply as the wellness practices themselves. We believe that feeling supported, welcomed, and connected is an essential part of the retreat experience.

You may arrive for the yoga, breathwork and meditations and ultimately discover that you’re leaving with new friendships, memories, and a renewed sense of belonging that continues long after you have returned home.

5. A Retreat Curated by People Who Believe in the Power of Wellness

At MAR Wellness Group, our vision has always been to create wellness experiences that nourish the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

We are especially excited to welcome Tania Savolle to Prana Maya because this retreat brings together the things we value most: intentional wellness, an inspiring host, a remarkable natural setting, and the warmth of community.

Our role is to help create the environment in which guests can slow down, feel cared for, and fully embrace the experience. From the hospitality of Prana Maya to the island's nourishing culinary experiences, every detail is considered with intention.

We invite you to come with an open heart, give yourself permission to unplug, and allow the island to work its quiet magic.
